Overview
A big screen will be set up in Limassol’s seaside park (Molos) on July 27 to view the full lunar eclipse that is expected to last for over an hour.
The ‘Blood Moon’ is estimated to be the longest eclipse in over a century, astronomers said.
During the event a there will be a talk by Physics professors Zacharias Mavris. Guests will also be able to enjoy the view of the eclipse and the planets through telescopes that are going to be set up.
There will also be an astro-photography workshop.
Music will be played by DJ Johnny Blue.
The event has been organised by the ‘House of Science’ with the support of the Limassol municipality.
The event begins at 20:00 next to the Caffe Nero at the Molos and entrance is free.
