A musical performance conducted for the first time by the great songwriter Dionysis Savvopoulos, along with the “Dimosta” choir, 30 musicians from Cyprus and Greece and orchestrations by two great musicians, D. Savvopoulos’ Greek collaborator Yiotis Kiourtsoglou and of the Cypriot composer Vassos Argyridis.
Dionysis Savvopoulos will perform songs by other artists, old and new, from Attik or Markos Vamvakaris, (for example Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Foivos Delivorias and others).
The musical performance is inspired by his narratives on acquaintance,
his memories and his thoughts about these great musicians and their songs.
This is the first time that Dionysis Savvopoulos will be presenting a concert that is not based on his own songs, but mainly on the songs of others he loved. He believes that their beauty helped him to deepen his own art. All contributors sing and play twenty-four songs, which are presented as a musical fresco covering a hundred years of Greek song writing.
The orchestra consists of about 30 musicians, in two sections, the Acoustic and the Wind instruments of the Symphonic Orchestra.
Musical Editing / Direction by Vasos Argyridis.
Teaching Of Vocal Ensemble by Adriana Sergidou.
