The largest courtyard of Nicosia opens its doors for the third consecutive year at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, tucked away between the popular Onasagorou and Ledras streets of the Old Town.
For four months starting from today June 7th and until the end of September, the old part of the capital will be filled with loads of cultural events such as concerts, open-air film screenings, theatre and dance performances.
It’s a multidimensional festival with local and international performances at the Foundation’s open-air amphitheatre, that gathers hundreds of people each year, eager to spend their summer nights at the Foundation.
Primarily aiming at propagating contemporary artistic creation, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation provides artists and creators with a platform to send out their messages, and jointly work with other artists in exchanging views and ideas and, in doing so, breaking down borders and restrictions between languages, arts and genres.
At the same time, Fameromeni 18 proposes performances that bring out various aspects of the history of Cyprus and investigates the island’s interaction with the surrounding European area, planning a celebration to last for four months at the centre of old Nicosia.
Entrance is free and events are held every Thursday at 21:00. Follow updates on their FB page
