The Ecological Celebration is back, on Sunday October 14, 2018 in Nicosia!
The Celebration aims to approach ecology through the perspective of collectivism, collaboration and solidarity. Principal goal of this diverse celebration is the education and free circulation of ideas such as: promotion of the immediate relationship between the producer and the consumer, clean quality food for all, locality and seasonality of products, more affordable and fair prices for the producer and the consumer, traditional food and handcraft methods, our reconnection with nature, collective projects and our disconnection from industrialization and ruthless commercialization of everything.
This year’s Ecological Celebration, features local producers of clean and quality produce, handcrafted products, ecological food, natural cosmetics and cleaning products. Present also will be organized entities and groups of ecology, sustainability and biodiversity, active on matters of ecology such as natural agriculture, creation of urban gardens, recycling, environment educational programs and natural health.
Throughout the day, practical workshops, kids’ activities, presentations from natural living specialists as well as a music program, will be taking place at the park.
The Celebration will take place at Akadimias National Forest Park, in Aglantzia between 10am and 6pm and it is organised in collaboration with the Open Initiative of Akadimias Park with the goal of supporting the group’s work on improving and upgrading the park.
