Overview

A unique event is being organized by Cyprus from Air, who frequently arrange walks and hikes in beautiful and remote locations in Cyprus. This one on Saturday June 30th is special as it’s a night walk, done without the help of torches and lights (unless necessary) so to be able to enjoy the starry sky.

The geo-trail Artemis, is located in Chionistra in the Troodos mountain range and is a circular trail of 7km. During the short hike that’s of low difficulty, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the forest from another angle by using other senses rather than sight like smell and hearing.

The team suggests wearing hiking shoes or military boots and hike is appropriate for those above 18. The meeting point is at the Troodos Campsite at 19:30 where people are welcomed to camp afterwards. As the walk will end around midnight, it is advisable that those wanting to camp, set up their tent earlier on in the day when there is daylight.

June 30th will also host a full moon so a night walk in the mountain is possibly the best spot to enjoy its beauty.
