Overview
Limassol’s Ayia Fyla area will hosting a carob festival on August 31 to honour the traditional cultivation of the fruit in that part of city.
The area was known for the cultivation of not only carobs, but also olives and citrus fruits, prior to its incorporation to the city.
Guests will be able to taste a variety of local products, cuisine, and entertainment starting at 11:00 in the churchyard of the Panayia Chrysafyliotissas church.
Entrance to the festival, organised by the Friends Association of Ayia Fyla, is free, and there will be music and activities for children at the event.
