If you think that a fun summer in Cyprus only correlates to beach time, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. A summer Movie Marathon is coming to Costantia Open Air Cinema again this year for its 20th edition, livening up Nicosia’s summer nights.
So if you’re a film lover and want watch local and International movies under the summer moon, this is the event for you. Every year Costantia organizes the Movie Marathon showcasing all kinds of films from around the world.
This year, amongst the many wonderful films screened, the ones to look out for are “Una Mujer Fantastica” (Chile) that won the Oscar for the Best Foreign Feature Film and the Cypriot “Boy on the Bridge” that put local film productions on an international platform by earning numerous awards (Best Film Award, 29th European Cinema Panorama Film Festival – 2016 / Best Film Young Jury Cinephile Award, 17th Le Festival de Cinéma du Grain à Démoudre -2016 / Nominated for Best -First Time Director Award, Hellenic Film Academy Awards- 2017). Children will also have the chance to enjoy the family film “Wendy”.
Starting from today, July 11th, the screenings will be on until September 9th every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (except August 11th) at 21:00. Tickets are 5 euros or 50 euros for all movies. Children under 10 and for people with disabilities, entrance is free.
