For nine years, Orpheas Stadium in Nicosia has been transforming every September into a creative space where 150+ artists come together, offer their work for sale to art lovers. The 12th Flying Away Art and Music Festival is taking place again this September 7th, 8th & 9th and promises to provide three days of live music, delicious street food and of course, a huge art sale.
The festival gathers hundreds of crowds every time and this year seems to be no different as art lovers browse the artists’ creations and purchase work for their homes, for gifts or order customized items. Find decorative pieces, photography frames, jewelry, clothing and other more edgy handicraft artwork.
So if you want to discover local artists, visit the Flying Away festival that aims to support and spotlight upcoming and Cypriot artists whilst creating a vibrant festive atmosphere with known bands swaying the audience away, whilst others indulge into Asian, German, Brazilian and Cypriot flavours from the food trucks. Vegan options are usually available too.
