Overview
Culture and history will come alive for you at the Cyprus Museum on International Museum Day.
On Friday the museum will be open from 08:00 to 23:00, free of charge for all visitors.
A special photography exhibition will be featured in the museum’s garden called ‘Meditations’.
The museum’s fun-filled day will be as follows:
08:00-19:00: Thematic journeys with exploration kits: “Discovering the goddess Aphrodite” & “Discovering Mythical Creatures” for children aged 4-10 with escorts
11:00: Free guided tour (in English) offered by the Nicosia Tourism Board
12:00: Start of long durational performance titled, In Situ by Elena Antoniou, it will last for three days (18/5 – 20/5/2018: 3 days, 19 hours)
15:30 & 17:00: Free guided tours (in Greek) offered by the Department of Antiquities
19:00-20:00 Presentation of project “The A’ Technical School goes to the Museum”, within the framework of the EU program DRASE.
20:00-22:30: Music by DJ Sofronis & reception in the Cyprus Museum gardens
