Overview
April, May and June are the flower months of the island. Cyherbia Botanical Gardens, in the village of Avgorou, is home to various flower types, local herbs and plants with the peak of the season being at the end of spring as the lavender flowers start blossoming.
Each year the Cyherbia hosts the lavender festivals (June 9th – June 24th 2018) and offers fun activities for children and adults with the opportunity to witness the spring splendour.
During the lavender festival visitors can:
-Enjoy our lavender gardens in full bloom
-Witness the extraction of Lavender essential oil
-Take part in lavender craft workshops for all ages
-Join the fragrant processing of lavender
-Enjoy a cooking demonstration with lavender
-Go on a meditation walk in the lavender Labyrinth
-Book a professional photoshoot in the lavender gardens with our resident photographer, for yourself or your family
-Taste free lavender cake, sorbet, liqueur and ice tea
During this period the gardens will be open daily from 09:00 until 20:00
