Next Saturday is set to bring Limassol’s streets to life with an array of street artists at the steady to decorate the centre of the town’s walls, sidewalks and abandoned houses with street and graffiti art.
Now its eleventh year, Limassol’s Street Life Festival is expecting over 20,000 visitors to fill the popular streets of Saripolou and Athinon, in the old town of Limassol.
Inviting both local and international artists to participate in the event, the festival aspires to make the streets stand out and give the coastal town’s streets a more contemporary and urban character.
Aside the street art, there will also be other activities oorganised during the day ensuring visitors have a memorable day. These include choreographies, cool stunts with skateboards, jugglers and street performers. Visitors can also experience the street market consisting of over 50 different stalls with handmade jewellery, handcrafts, games, dog accessories, furniture and other.
The Street Life Festival has been organised once a year since 2007 and aims to bring a funky and alternative twist in the city of Limassol, to inspire expression, to bring people together and to offer an urban perspective that resemble other European cities.
Today, it is considered as the biggest annual street art festival organised in the old town of Limassol with thousands of people looking forward to it every year.
