Overview
The Ex Silentio Ensemble explores the rich musical tradition of the Mediterranean, presenting works from the monophonic traditions of Spain, Italy, France and music from the Eastern Mediterranean.
The programme focuses on late Medieval and traditional music from various regions of the Mediterranean: Castile, Provence, Tuscany, Thrace and the Cyclades, each of which has its own idiomatic characteristics and carries its own mneme reflected in a unique perception of the world.
