World-renowned singer Nana Mouskouri will be performing at concert for ‘Hope For Children’ on July 8 at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, as part of her world tour.
Nana Mouskouri started her career in Greece 60 years ago, performing songs written by Nikos Gatsos and Manos Hatzidakis. She also sings in English, French, and many other languages.
She then expanded to perform in some of the most important theatres in the world, including the Paris Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and at Lincoln Centre in New York.
With more than 10,000 performances all over the world, she has comes to Cyprus after her concert on July 5 at the Herodion Theatre in Athens, this time to sing her “Myth”. The myth that has linked her forever with Manos Hatzidakis, Nikos Gatsos and Melina Merkouri, who were her musical “lighthouses” in the seas of the world. Their “presence” in the concert will therefore be more noticeable, as these songs remain for her the most precious belongings.
The concert is held under the auspices of The First Lady of the Cyprus Republic, Mrs. Andri Anastasiades.
