Overview
The Perseids meteor shower will be taking place on August 12, 2018 and the Cyprus Astronomy Organisation will be holding an event for all to come and view the spectacular shooting stars.
At the event, Music n’ Stars, to be held at the Troodos Botanical Garden, guests will be able to view the meteor shower, while DJ Takis Christodoulides will be on the decks.
This year the meteor shower is taking place during a new moon phase, and the sky is expected to be dark, allowing for the greater likelihood of seeing the shower.
The Organisation has picked the 12th to host their event, as the shower will be at its peak. The event is set to begin at 20:30.
