Overview
Classical music fans have the unique opportunity to enjoy a rare occasion of an opera music performance in Cyprus that is held in memory of the 150th anniversary of one of the most beloved Italian opera composers, Gioacchino Rossini.
The evening will be embellished by popular opera arias and ensembles by Rossini, performed by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, under Jens Georg Bachmann. Joining the Orchestra will be four internationally-renowned Italian opera singers s from the “Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda” of the Rossini Opera Festival” who promise to captivate the audiences with their interpretations. The soloists are Francesca Tassinari (soprano), Martiniana Antonie (mezzosoprano), Pietro Adaini (tenor) and Daniele Antonangeli (baritone).
It’s an event kindly organized by Cyprus Telethon and the Italian Embassy with the support of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades.
The concert is a great opportunity to visit the Presidential Palace as a reception will be held at 20:00 at the gardens of the Presidential Palace and the concert will start at 21:00 at the on-site amphitheatre, and it ends at approximately midnight.
