Overview
Media groups, banks, NGOs and businesses will be hosting a concert under the auspices of the volunteerism commissioner on Tuesday July 31 to raise funds for the people affected by wildfires in Greece.
The concert will be held at the Municipal Park in Nicosia and will feature singers Anna Vissi and Antonis Remos.
There will also be performance by the following groups:
17:00- 18:00 Theo & Alex
18:00 – 19:00 OnTour
19:00 – 20:00 Cashiers (Band)
20:00- 21:00 Neon Knights
21:00 – 22:00 The Boots
22:00 – 23:00 Fuse
Radio Marathon:
State broadcaster CyBC will also be running a radio marathon to raise funds for the people affected by the fires. The broadcaster’s Radio Trito will begin collecting funds at 6am.
Donations:
People wishing to make donations can do so from July 31 to August 3. They can make donations at Hellenic Bank and Bank of Cyprus branches.
Entrance to the concert will be free, and the event is set to start at 17:00 and run until 23:00. At the event, coupons for drinks and food will be available, worth €1, €2, and €3. All the proceeds will be given to Hope for Children.
Hope for Children will also have a kiosk at the concert, for visitors to make further donations if they wish. The NGO is already in contact with the Greek authorities and the maintenance of the funds that will be collected.
The goal of the event is to raise funds to rebuild the public areas of the Attica region that were affected the fires.
