The 2017 French film, A Bras Ouverts (With Open Arms), will be the third installation of the Rialto theatre’s summer cinema.
The film, directed by Philippe de Chauveron, attempts to illustrate the tolerance shown by the French bourgeoisie to those considered ‘different’: poor, homeless, and immigrants. The comedy tells the story of a left-wing celebrity intellectual, who openly supports the arrival of refugees, but struggles to live up to his words in his personal life, when a Romani family arrives on his doorstep.
