Good steak at these 5 restaurants in Cyprus

Juicy, soft, and cooked just right.  Who can possibly resist a good steak?  If you can’t then look no further then these six places across the island, preparing a nice cut of beef the way you like.

Limassol

Columbia Steak House

A modern space, with fine-dining aesthetics, this restaurant offers eight different steaks from the US and Australia, which are cooked on the grill.  On Sundays the restaurant also serves a buffet.

Side dishes: Vegetables, mushrooms, onion rings, and potatoes cooked in various ways.  All the steaks are served with steakhouse spice mix made of various types of pepper.

Try: The USDA Steak Combo (375g), which is a combination of Prime fillet, ribeye and New York Strip steaks, a baked potato and vegetable cooked either on the grill or steamed (€48) or the steak Diane (2x125g) with a creamy mushroom sauce, beans and smashed potatoes (€36/Australian steak, €46/USDA).

MEAT ing Grill & Co

This is a new arrival in Limassol, and the newest addition to the group of Carob Mill Restaurants, which combines a rustic atmosphere and a large selection of steaks and other meats cooked on the well-known Josper Gastrogrill.

Side dishes: A variety of homemade sauces, potatoes cooked in various ways, asparagus, mushrooms, vegetables, etc.

Try: There are eight different cuts of steak served.  Try the Angus ribeye (300g), a juicy, aromatic cut of beef, which is caramelised to make the meat tenderer.

The Steak House

Try from 15 different steaks, all from New Zealand of the US, cooked on the grill of flambé, at this modern restaurant with a panoramic view of the city.

Side dishes: Enjoy your steak with steamed vegetables, or with grilled vegetable in a creamed spinach.  You can also choose a second side dish, wild rice or potatoes.

Try: The Tennessee Steak is a tender beef fillet with a Tennessee glaze made from honey, balsamic vinegar, Southern Comfort, and fresh cream (€32) and it is served with steam vegetables.  Otherwise, try the American T-bone steak with creamed spinach (€45).

Cambanella’s Steak House

At this restaurant, you will find friendly service and four different types of steak from New Zealand and Argentina.  All of them are cooked on the grill to your liking.  The restaurant also offers a carvery buffet (€12/per person).

Side dishes:  Vegetables, potatoes and rice, as well as a large selection of sauces including: garlic, pate, blue cheese, pepper, etc (€2).

Marbré

With a rustic aesthetic and an open concept kitchen, this restaurant offers 12 types of steak from Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Ireland, France, Australia, New Zealand, and the US, all cooked in a parrilla.

Side dishes: Potatoes (fried, mash, or country style), vegetables, salad, wild mushroom fricassee, corn and sauces.

Try: The steak that gave its name to the restaurant – because of its marbled look – the Wagyu ribeye from Australia with Cypriot fried potatoes, wild mushrooms and béarnaise sauce (€57.20/ 200g) or the Onglet Charolais with vegetables, mashed Cypriot potatoes and pepper sauce (€34/ 250g).
