On your walk along the natural beauty of Cape Greko area, rich with local vegetation and stunning coastal view, is the quaint chapel of Ayioi Anargyroi. From its secluded location with open views you can see Cyprus’ landscape with the area’s interesting mix of blue sea and rocky cliffs.
The chapel is built above a sea cave where it is said that Saints Anargyroi lived an ascetic life. Dedicated to the twin brothers, Cosmas and Damianos, Saints Anargyroi were both doctors and miraculously healed the sick people without receiving any kind of payment.
Take the stairs down to the cave and have a refreshing dive in the crystal clear waters or if you’re feeling more adventurous jump from the top of the rocks in front of the chapel, that are another known spot for cliff jumping after the Sea Caves. These are lower than the 12 meters cliffs of the Sea Caves but still ensure an adrenaline rush. Numerous boats halt here for a swim or a dive as it’s a beloved spot by both visitors and locals.
The site is a popular spot for weddings as the picturesque scenery makes a stunning backdrop. You’ll also usually find an ice cream truck and a van selling juices and frappes to refresh the many visitors.
