The Alexandria Wreck in Cyprus, also known simply as ‘Alex’, is a shipwreck that offers a unique experience for advanced divers. A few kilometres from Larnaca’s beaches, Alex is an old fishing trawler that sank in an upright position in 2006. The trawler was being towed from Larnaca to Limassol when a storm broke out and the vessel sank, creating an artificial reef.
A short boat ride brings you to Alex’s location. Dive in and discover the fascinating marine life centred around the reef. Schools of fish including parrotfish, barracuda, big groupers, shoals of jacks and tuna as well as turtles can all be spotted at the site.
