Attractions

Overview

One of Limassol’s most stunning buildings has to be the town’s Public Library and a visit to it can be dedicated to its magnificent architecture alone. Once you’ve taken in the outside, what’s inside is equally as impressive as the library is one of the island’s largest with a collection that reaches 60,000 volumes.

Amongst its books, newspapers and scientific year books, it is most distinguished for its priceless Cypriological Department as it includes rare and old editions of Cypriot magazines  and newspapers, dating back to the last decades of the 19th century.

Its material is available for university students, residents, visitors and there is even a large children’s section for young, curious minds.
