Even though there are dozens of sandy beaches with crystal clear waters in Cyprus, the ones that are designated to dogs are usually a little less welcoming with pebbles and in remote locations.
The area of Spyros beach – also known as Kasianes beach – near Larnaca International Airport and just off Meneou is of the more pleasant dog-friendly beaches with clean, shallow waters that people can enjoy as well.
Going to a non-designated dog beach can lead to an €85 fine, so it’s best to be worry-free by following our guide above. Most of these locations aren’t organised beaches, with no sunbeds and umbrellas, so it’s best to take your own and make sure to protect yourself from the strong sun. Please remember to clean up after your pet!
