Overview
Although Nicosia is considered as an inland district, it hosts a couple of beaches. One of them allows dogs to play and swim. Steratzia beach in Kato Pyrgos is a secluded beach and in order to reach it, you’ll need to ask a local of the area for directions.
Going to a non-designated dog beach can lead to an €85 fine, so it’s best to be worry-free by following our guide above. Most of these locations aren’t organised beaches, with no sunbeds and umbrellas, so it’s best to take your own and make sure to protect yourself from the strong sun. Please remember to clean up after your pet!
