Enjoy a steak in these villages
If you are looking to head out and explore some of Cyprus’ villages, and you also want to grab a good steak dinner, then we suggest these four restaurants.
In the village of Ayios Ioannis Malounda, in the Nicosia district, you will find Salt and Fire (99999585), where they serve Black Angus Rib Eye or plain beef steak (€44- €48) with vegetables (€6) and pepper or mushroom sauce (€4). Note that every month they launch and suggest a new cut of steak.
If you want to combine views and fine wine, at the Playa restaurant (25446000) at the Vassiliadis Winery, Oinou Gi, in Omodos you’ll be served with beef steak sautéed with thyme served with greens, dauphinoise potatoes, and pepper (€28).
You will also have a spectacular view at Casale Panayiotis’ Loutraki restaurant (22952444) in Kalopanayiotis. The menu includes Rib Eye steak (€33) or Beef Fillet steak (€35) with salt from Larnaca’s salt lake with crispy potatoes, grilled vegetables and aromatic oils, such as bay leaf and garlic, spicy pepper, or herbal lemon.
There is very good steak overlooking the mountains at Mylos restaurant (22922536) in Kakopetria also in Nicosia district. Its menu includes T-Bone, plain fillet, Tender Sirloin peppered, Fillet steak with pate and bordelaise sauce and Sirloin with various sauces and accompaniments depending on how the chef serves it (€14.80- €32).
