Starting on May 28, the University of Cyprus will be launching its 21st Cultural Festival, which will feature a number of theatrical and musical events, set to last into July.
The festival events all take place at the Archontiko Axiothea in Nicosia, a restored mansion. Each event starts at 20:30, except for the shadow puppet theatre, which will start at 19:45.

May 30: ‘O Karagkiozis Yiatros’, a shadow puppet theatrical production featuring Thodoris Costidakis
June 1: ‘To Asma tou Yiofiriou’, a theatrical production by the student theatre group Thepak
June 5: ‘Rebetien’, Traditional Greek music and songs from Smyrna
June 7: ‘I Thalassini Odi’, by F. Pessoa, concert by Aliki Kayialoglou
June 9: ‘Agamenon’ theatrical production featuring Leda Protopsalti
June 11: El Escorial by Michel de Ghelderode performed by the Pancyprian Secondary School of Larnaca
June 13: ‘Agathin’, concert by Monsieur Doumani
June 21 & 22: ‘Pagkosmion Asma’, theatrical production by Thepak
June 25: Retro, concert by Argyris Bakirtzis, Evi Mazi, Costas Vomvolos, and Michalis Siganides
June 27: Homesickness Blues – Greeks in the American underground – concert by Costas Vomvolos, Argyris Bakirtzis, Alexandros Gagatsis, Katerina Sisini, Maria-Eleni Arsenopoulou
July 1: Jazz Origins, concert by Sarah Fenwick and Marinos Neophytou
