Overview
Along with the other Kataklysmos festivals happening along the coastline of Cyprus, Paphos is also holding a series of events and performances this weekend, 26th-28th May.
According to Greek Orthodox tradition kataklysmos, meaning flood, derives from the Bible’s tale of Noah’s flood. In Cyprus, it is traditionally the start of summer season, and folklore celebrations are held in all coastal cities with this religious and popular festival.
Festivities usually include folk music concerts and dance performances and the Paphos festivals promises to stay close to tradition. Check out the full program here:
