Let’s Make Cyprus Green, in cooperation with the Limassol Municipality, will host the first annual Love the Earth Festival on Sunday, April 21 from 10:30-15:30 at Molos Park to promote and celebrate Earth Hour in Cyprus. The festival will have various workshops relating to the environment, music, healthy food & drinks, activities for children, and tables of environmentally friendly products.
What’s Earth Hour? Earth Hour is an annual worldwide movement that happens at the end of March aimed to encourage individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights for one hour starting from 20:30. By turning off your lights, you will be spreading awareness about energy issues, emissions, and climate change. Earth Hour is a symbolic action that we encourage everyone to take part in. We encourage you to take this hour to think about how you can help reduce your carbon footprint, as electricity consumption is not the Earths only problem. Think of the amounts of water you use, the food you buy, and the amounts of single-use plastic you go through each day.
By participating at the Love the Earth festival you give your consent to use images (photographs or films) for yourself and any child taken during the festival, on Sunday, April 21 for the promotion or evaluation of this action.
