A classical music evening with solo and four-hand pieces by the two pianists Galina Dimova from Bulgaria and Adele Daunoraviciute from Lithuania, at Technopolis 20, on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 20:00.

The programme will include works by Frederic Chopin, Sergei Rachmaninov, Moritz Moszkowski, Maurice Ravel, Astor Piazzolla, Veselin Stoyanov, Jiří Bažant, Craig Armstrong, Nicolas Economou, Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour.

A few words about the musicians

Galina Dimova was born in Chirpan, Bulgaria in 1967. She graduated from The Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv with a distinction, obtaining an M.A. in Music Education and Piano Pedagogy. In addition, Galina has a PhD on the piano compositions of the Cypriot pianist and composer Nicolas Economou. She has made multiple publications in Bulgarian, as well as in English. Galina also collaborated with video artist Yiannos Economou as a composer and performer. She plays extensively both as a soloist and as an accompanist and has an unusually wide repertoire, ranging from Baroque all the way up to contemporary music. Galina is the Head of Music at The International School of Paphos and teaches piano at Paphos Music Lyceum.

Adele Daunoraviciute was born in Klaipeda, Lithuania in 1991. She studied piano with Professor Tatjana Romashkina (Svobodina) at the Art Faculty of Klaipeda University. Adele holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education with performing as a professional qualification. In 2016 she obtained a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance. She participated in master classes with professors Petras Geniusas, Walter Groppenberger, Ksenia Knorre, Vladimir Slobodian and many others. Adele won numerous prizes from international piano competitions in Lithuania, Italy, Austria, Finland, France, Russia, Portugal and the United States. She is the recipient of five presidential awards for high achievements in music on the international arena, which were personally presented to her by the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite. Before moving to Cyprus, Adele worked in Klaipeda J. Karosas and Palanga S. Vainiūnas music schools as a piano teacher and accompanist.
