Grab brunch at one of these 10 new locations

Enjoying breakfast with family or friends is a favourite past-time among locals and visitors.  Cyprus’ restaurants serve fresh food, with products that are often sourced locally, and brought straight to the table.

In recent months, ten new restaurants have started serving brunch in Cyprus, offering more options for a relaxed morning.

La Cantine

This restaurant in Nicosia’s old town, offers a plentiful brunch, which mixes savoury and sweet dishes, such as omelettes, crepes, pancakes, salads, cheese pies, spinach pies, sandwiches, and French toast.

TRY: The restaurant makes a delicious French toast (€7), or if you are looking for something savoury try their avocado toast and scrambled eggs (€6.50).  To drink, you will want to try their well-prepared coffee.

NÖm

This new hot spot on Nicosia’s Stasandrou Street serves healthy dishes, which are low in calories, but still delicious.

TRY: Get their yummies (€10.50) dish from the menu, which is a Cypriot breakfast with a twist.  It includes Halloumi, sausage, eggs, and sweet potatoes.  For those of you with a sweet tooth, try the banoffee pancakes (€8), a new take on the dessert favourite.   To drink, you will want to try their coffee, or one of their delicious smoothies, such as the peanut-almond (€5.50), or the fresh energy juice (€4).

Apron Cooking Stories

A new restaurant in Nicosia’s city centre, just outside the old town, Apron Cooking Stories offers brunch on Saturdays, and every week they serve something different.

The restaurant changes their menu every week, offering seasonal dishes.

Go Healthy Etc

This fast-casual restaurants in Nicosia’s Engomi area, offer delicious, healthy and balanced dishes and drinks.

TRY: Get their overnight porridge (€3.60) with seasonal fruits.  If you are looking for a classic brunch dish try the croque monsieur (€4.20).  To drink, try one of their iced gourmet teas (€2.80) or the Tropical bliss smoothie (€4.40).

Frequency Restobar

This new restaurant, with its impressive bar, recently opened in the Lakatameia area of Nicosia. Frequency Restobar opens early in the morning and offers coffees and snacks, as well as, other dishes, while in the afternoons and evenings, the bar serves delicious cocktails and drinks.  Brunch is served on the weekends.

Aplostra Restaurant – Beach bar

As the weather gets better, and the days are filled with sun, you will be looking to get a meal by the sea.  There is nothing better than a morning sitting by the waves, taking in the morning sun, and having breakfast.  Aplostra Restaurant on Limassol’s Lady’s Mile beach combines these things, and serves brunch daily.

TRY: You can pick among omelettes, pancakes, and bagels.  Try a prosciutto bagel, or the delicious yoghurt with muesli, fresh fruit and honey.  To drink, you will definitely want to get a refreshing watermelon mojito.

Sir Paul Hotel

This boutique hotel is in the heart of Limassol, and has an internal garden, which is ideal for families, and other group get-togethers.

TRY: You will surely want to get avocado toast, served on a freshly baked brioche, poached egg, and spicy sauce (€4.50).  If you have a sweet tooth, grab their French toast, with fresh strawberries and maple syrup (€9.90).  To drink, you will want to get one of their specialty brunch cocktails.  Brunch is served on the weekends from 11:00 to 14:00.

This is a quaint and charming space on Limassol’s Georgiou Karaiskaki Street, known for its good coffee, sandwiches, omelettes, smoothies, protein bowls, and pastries.

TRY: You will want to sample the BLT bagel (€4.30) or the omelette bagel (€4.80).  To drink, try their dear all chino (€3.50) or their protein smoothie with peanut butter, banana, protein powder, and milk (€4.20).

Garden Lounge Bar

This is a garden restaurant in the heart of Larnaca will put you in a Spring mood, offering you relaxed moments and a plentiful brunch, which includes its well-known pnacakes, eggs, and coffee.

TRY: The English breakfast of the breakfast bagel (€5).  They are both filling and delicious.  To drink you will want to get one of their coffees, served in as ice cream in a cone, with a chocolate covering (€3).

If you are in the Famagusta area for brunch one day, stop by Brunch n Roll, and enjoy pancakes, fresh fruits, sandwiches, eggs, and other healthy options including yoghurt and muesli.

TRY: They make savoury or sweet pancakes, to which you can add toppings (€3.50).  To drink, you will want to try the refreshing forest fruit smoothie (€4) or some iced mocha (€3.50).
