Italian Film Days coming to Cyprus with free screenings

The Italian Embassy in Cyprus is organising an Italian Film Festival from September 9 to 15 for the second year, in collaboration with the Italian production company IMAGO, the Rialto Theatre in Limassol and other cinemas in Cyprus.

The aim of the Festival is to present to Cyprus some of the best Italian film productions in recent years.

This cinematic experience will be enriched by the presence of guests from Italy, video interviews with the actors/directors before each screening, information on the films to be screened and the public’s ability to participate in discussions and to evaluate the movies.

Official launch

The official launch will take place in Larnaca on September 9 in the presence of the Italian Ambassador and local authorities, with the screening of the film “Quando Corre Nuvolari” based on the story of Italian legendary racing driver Tazio Nuvolari.

An announcement from the organisers says that “La pelle dell’orso” and “Perfetti sconosciuti” will be screened as part of the Festival, while on September 15 the closing of the festival will be held at Limassol’s Rialto Theatre, where the film “Un figlio a tutti i costi” will be screened, in the presence of director and actor Fabio Gravina and producer / screenwriter, Salvatore Scarico.

The same night, the festival’s most beloved film will be announced, which will be selected by viewers in all cities.

The films to be screened in Italian and will have Greek and English subtitles, except for Balon, which will be screened in English (the original language) with Italian and Greek subtitles.

September 9-10: Kcineplex Larnaca

September 11-13: Pantheon Art Cinema, Nicosia

September 14-15: Rialto Theatre, Limassol
