Established in 1992 by Yiorgos Trypatsas, the award-winning, family-owned Aes Ambelis Winery welcomes you to taste unique wines in a stunning tasting room that overlooks its thirty-acre, meticulously cultivated vineyard.
The Aes Ambelis Winery cultivates grapes in an environmentally friendly manner. Wines are made in a contemporary facility with state-of-the-art equipment and aged in wooden barrels in a temperature controlled cellar.
The winery has created a range of wines from rare native Cypriot grape varietals. Hailing from ancient times, one of the winery’s most prized blends is the red Maratheftiko (Omiros). The Aes Ambelis Winery also produces the well-known and highly prized Cypriot sweet dessert wine Commandaria, which is made from local Xynisteri and Mavros grapes that are sun-dried for two weeks, made into wine and then aged in wooden barrels for four years. The newest addition to the Aes Ambelis family is the white wine Morokanella, which is produced from the eponymous native and rare Cypriot grape variety. The Aes Ambelis Winery has reintroduced this distinct wine to the Cypriot market. Moreover, the Aes Ambelis wines range from Chardonnay and Shiraz to Rose and Cabernet Sauvignon.
