Located at the west end of Paphos, the 400-metre long coast of Faros is a beautiful beach that is popular for its stunning views and host of facilities.
The beach boasts deep golden sands and clean waters that can be choppy at time. Facilities on the beach include toilets, showers, changing rooms, sun beds, umbrellas, dustbins and recycling bins.
Aside from swimming, the beach also offers the additional activities of a children’s playground, beach volleyball court and nature trails for taking a stroll, making it a great choice for all, including families with children.
There are also a variety of restaurants, fish taverns, cafes, bars, kiosks, convenience stores and accommodation in the area.
Lifeguards with lifesaving equipment and first aid services are stationed at the beach from April 15 – October 31, 11:00 – 17:30.
The beach is a great starting point to explore some of the area’s most famous attractions, including the Medieval castle with its picturesque harbour, the Paphos mosaics and the archaeological site of Tombs of the Kings. Nature lovers will appreciate the lush surroundings and taking in the views, whilst all will appreciate a wander around the harbour with its pretty bobbing boats.
