Overview
Getting to the beach from Nicosia using public transport can be a daunting task, but if you are a cycling enthusiast, you can ride your bike along this 53 km route to the Larnaca tourist beach.
Starting at the traffic lights at the junction of Limassol and Athalassa Avenue, the trail soon veers off the motorway on the Latsia exit, sending you on a ride past the industrial area and through the small towns of Dali and Lympia.
At Lympia, the route merges with the old Nicosia to Larnaca road, heading northeast until reaching the town of Rizoelia on the outskirts of Aradippou, and then alongside the motorway close to the Larnaca industrial area until reaching the fire station traffic lights further down the road.
Turning left at the lights will lead you to Stratigou Timagia Avenue and on to the roundabout just outside Larnaca port. You then ride through the tourist areas of Livadia, Oroklini and Pyla before arriving at the end of the trail at the Larnaca Tourist beach a bit further down the road.
