A Fun Day Out with the Family in Famagusta
Known for its vibrant bar and club scene, many visitors have found Famagusta to be one of the island’s best party spots – but that’s not all there is to the region! It is also a great place to head out with the family, with the area hosting various fun activities for children, sure to keep them entertained all day.
To start your day out with the kids, you will want to head to Fig Tree Bay in Protaras. We suggest you get there early in the morning to ensure you get a space at the beach, as well as a sunbed and umbrella. You may find that you could spend your whole day there with the family, given the number of restaurants and other nearby amenities. Children will also enjoy the water sports at Fig Tree Bay, which open at 8am and run until sundown.
After a few hours at the beach, you will most likely want to cool off in a shaded restaurant. The Protaras strip is the perfect place to find anything your children’s hearts might desire. There are a number of international favourites, fast food places, and local options available.
In the afternoon, you will want to escape the busy towns of Protaras and Ayia Napa and take the children out for a fun stroll through the Avgorou Botanical Gardens at Cyherbia, where they can play, explore, and learn about the local flora.
When the evening comes, you will want to grab an early dinner with the kids. Ayia Napa, like Protaras, is a perfect spot to grab something everyone will love. Along the strip you will find a number of favourites, including fast food and pizza places.
While out in Ayia Napa, head over to the Parko Paliatso Amusement park, where your kids will spend hours playing games, going on the rides, and enjoying all the fairground favourites. The park is open until 11pm.
