Great Ways to Get in the Holiday Spirit in Cyprus
December is upon us, the holidays are approaching, and Cyprus is filled with the holiday spirit as well as various activities to rouse the joy of the season.
The island’s cities fill with lights in the main squares, and Christmas fairy lands start to pop up, bringing you all the best delights of the holiday season, including loukoumades, roasted chestnuts, sweets, and fun activities for you and your loved ones.
Below you will be able to find some of the best ways to get in the holiday spirit around the island.
Nicosia Christmas Fairyland
The Nicosia Christmas Fairyland is great fun for people of all ages, with rides, food, and music to keep guests in the holiday mood.
Every year it is set up a little bit outside of the city centre near the mall, and it usually lasts for about two months.
Admission to the Fairyland is free, and there are a number of rides, including carousels, a Ferris wheel, and some other more adventurous activities.
Concerts are held in the area throughout the season, so guests should check the programme.
The Christmas Fairyland will run until January 6.
Limassol Christmas Land
If you are looking for Christmas fun by the sea, then make sure to stop by the Limassol Christmas Land that will be set up in the Enaerios parking lot just a few metres away from the shore.
There you will find all sorts of Christmas goods and fun games to play with your family and friends. Just like in Nicosia, guests will also be able to enjoy live music by popular Greek artists.

Christmas Wonderland
This Christmas Wonderland will also be set up in Limassol, this time at the old port, right among the beautiful boats and stores in the city centre.
Little kiosks will be set up throughout the area where guests will be able to buy various sweets and other holiday goods.
There will also be games available for children, including a train that will take them around the wonderland.
Funds raised at the Christmas Wonderland will go to various charities, including the Cyprus anti-cancer charity Pasykaf and the Red Cross.

Christmas Wonder
Paralimni will be setting up their own little Christmas Wonder at the centre of the town. In the town’s main square of Ayios Georgios, there will be various kiosks selling all sorts of Christmas goods.
On December 23, Santa Claus is set to pay a visit to the Christmas Wonder at 15:00. Christmas Wonder will run until January 8.
Christmas Festival at Petrides Farm
Petrides Farm Park in the village of Marki in Nicosia will host a Christmas Festival on December 23 and 24 from 10:00 until 19:00.
There will be a number of kiosks open at the farm for families to enjoy various activities, including face-painting, glitter tattoos, and donkey and pony rides.
