Roam fields of lavender at this festival
The 8th Lavender Festival in Cyprus will be held at the Cyherbia Botanical Park in Avgorou, from Saturday June 8 until June 23, where guests will be able to explore the park, and take part in fun activities involving the plant.
Cyherbia is the only place in Cyprus with specially landscaped lavender gardens, a lavender labyrinth for meditation walks, and a distillation room where extraction of lavender essential oil will take place, and many other unique features for all the family, such as the maze, the woodland walk around Cyprus, and the fairy village.
A celebration of the most aromatic of all herbs, the Lavender Festival is the absolute highlight of the herbal calendar. Lavandula Angustifolia, or English lavender, only blooms once a year, in June and July. This species is widely used in essential oil production, in perfumery, in medicine, for culinary use and as tea.
During the lavender festival you can:
