Cyprus has all the elements for a great climbing experience, with complex rock types and a variety of climbing routes among the beautiful sea cliffs and lush valleys in the mountains of Troodos.
If you are interested in climbing, best to get in touch with the Cyprus Mountaineering, Climbing and Orienteering Federation to learn about the routes and the guided trips they organise.
The Federation includes several climbing clubs, schools that provide accredited courses, guided group excursions, equipment rentals and maps.
The official organisation for orienteering is Orientation, which promotes the sport under the auspices of the Climbing Federation. The club organises several annual events that take place in parks, forested areas and traditional villages, and they offer several detailed maps of these regions.
